? how much can you use him? >> president clinton has been an enormous ally for us and asset. two weekends back he was coming in the next day in pennsylvania, and colorado, and people remember that he was a president that came in when the economy was tough, and by the end of his eight years the economy was going well. remember, he and president reagan both in their first mid terms had approval ratings that were sim to where president obama's are right now, but president clinton did so many things to get that economy that was challenged climbing again, and i know president obama looks at his job and feels like it's basically the feel job, take an anemic economy and have it grow stronger, and deal with the deficits over the course of his presidency. there is much to emlate. the good news is, we had a wake-up call earlier in the year. none of the candidates have been running complacently. they have been running scared. for as much concerns people have about the democrats, look at the republican approval rating in the polls. this is not a popular republican party right now. >> some ma

advisers. thank you for joining us. >> thank you for having me. >> thank you very much. i want to ask you what's just happened. the house minority leader, john boehner said he would consider extending the middle class tax cuts. if the only option i have is to vote for some of those tax reductions, i'll vote for it, he said, on "face the nation" this morning. what is your reaction? >> i haven't seen the comments. i noticed the qualifier if my only choice is. if he -- if he's truly saying that we can, as the president called for, get a broad consensus to extend the middle class tax cuts, we should do it. we shouldn't hold that hostage for the argument about the tax cuts just for the very, very highest income people. if he's for that, i would happy. in the past, we have seen some of these circumstances in which what appears to be the offer of doing the sensible thing in the light of day, there's a little bit of a feeling of, well if the president's for it, i'm against it, then it falls apart. >> he does obviously say he's going do everything he can to fight to make sure that all the tax cuts

telling us, there are reports that there is one more confirmed dead bringing the death toll up to four. we talked about the process of going through the neighborhood and seeing how many more victims there are. they found another victim. at this point, what we are doing is monitoring the situation out here. you are looking at a view of the smoke that rises. any time you see white smoke above an area, firefighters say that's a good thing better than black smoke indicating that the fire is getting going. we are expecting that they made progress on the fire fight. we look from above at the neighborhood in front of us where there is still smoke coming up from the large portion of the neighborhood. no visible flames from where we were able to look at. no visible signs of damage. so we know the damage area is further from where we are. the latest out here is that they have confirmed one more dead bringing the toll to four in this fire. this is just beginning. we are checking a lot of updates. we will continue to follow that and bring you the latest information. claudine wong, ktvu channel 2 news.

they found 20- pounds of this ammonium, a chemical used to make explosives. this is the bomb squad. they said they cannot deal with this type of situation and they called in the atf instead and these two separate scenes. it wasn't just chemicals found in the upland court. the bodies of two women overnight. the police say it was a grisly scene. this is the home of 67-year-old dena allen. allen and her friend, carol smarkt, have been missing since wednesday. this is also a home where suspected killer efren valdemoro was known to say, sometimes trying to pass himself off as allen's son. here's where the story takes another turn -- police say the bodies of these two women had been in this home for a while and apparently during that time, allen husband, who reported her missing, had been living in the home. so he's been arrested and is in custody at this hour. how is this all connected to valdemoro? well, that's still unclear. police say all of this may not be connected to the hercules case in which valdemoro is suspected of killing an elderly man on friday. that man's son is still missing. if we
